I was experimenting with biometrical sensors and created a survival/escape demo where users have to escape an abandoned hospital while being engulfed in darkness. The task is to stay in the light and reach the exit while lights are being shut down one after the other. Being trapped in darkness means defeat. And there is something lurking in the dark…
To spice things up, the heart-rate and skin conductance level of the player influence the rate at which the lights are being turned off. Meaning fear of losing will actual decrease the chance to win. Being cool-minded is the key.
